Casting will be for the 2012-13 season – Carmen, La traviata and The Italian Girl in Algiers.
Requirements:
- At least 20 years of age
- A local / regional resident, due to requirements of the rehearsal schedule of each opera
- Available to rehearse evenings and weekends
Preparation:
- Please prepare two complete pieces from the following genres: opera, art song, or classical musical theatre (Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, musical theatre before 1990, etc.) One selection should be in a foreign language and the other in English.
- You may bring an accompanist, or one will be provided for you if needed; please bring sheet music.
We will only be hearing singers who have not previously auditioned for The Atlanta Opera Chorus.

Interested applicants please send a full body photo, along with a bio, to auditions@atlantaopera.org with "dance audition" in the subject line.
Casting is for female flamenco/Spanish dancers for the performances of Carmen on November 10, 13, 16 and 18, 2012. Rehearsals begin mid-October. Dancers should have strong technique; experience is a plus.
We are also looking for a young girl with training in flamenco/Spanish dance who looks to be between 8 and 12 years old.
Auditions for the young girl will take place at 10:30 am; auditions for adults will begin at 1:30 pm. Please apply in advance.
