Arts Administration
The Atlanta Opera arts administration internships are designed to connect the learning goals of our interns to hands-on experiences and training in the field of arts administration. Atlanta Opera internships are unpaid, however interns may earn college credit.
The Atlanta Opera strives to make the internship a valuable and meaningful experience for college students and recent graduates. Interns gain a wide range of experience working in each of the company's departments including education, marketing, development, and production. Atlanta Opera interns are also provided with professional development training workshops, networking opportunities, guest speakers, presentations by department heads, and employee discount on Shop Opera merchandise. Interns are accepted for fall, spring, and summer semesters.

Technical Theatre
Technical theater apprenticeships are offered during the company’s season for high school theater students (upper-level) and college/university students majoring in theater, or students with a strong interest in technical aspects of the performing arts.
The Atlanta Opera technical theater apprenticeship provides students the opportunity to observe working rehearsals and shadow the Production Stage Manager during a select performance. No more than two apprentices are selected for each of the company's mainstage productions. Individuals may be selected for no more than two productions each season. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
