to celebrate the role Jews have played in music.
The second concert in the Molly Blank Jewish Concert Series (link to page on our site), led by Maestro Arthur Fagen
, will provide a 100-year journey through music, featuring a singer and pianist from the Atlanta area and a string quartet made up of Atlanta Opera Orchestra musicians. The concert will feature works by German composer, pianist, organist and conductor of the early Romantic period Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847), late-Romantic Austrian composer Gustav Mahler (1860-1911), and conductor, author, music lecturer and pianist Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990), who was among the first conductors born and educated in the United States of America to receive worldwide acclaim.
