Supernumeraries are non-speaking, non-singing roles in operas, similar to extras in movies. Casting needs vary per production. The Atlanta Opera accepts supernumerary applications any time of year for all those interested in being a part of an operatic production.

To apply online:
1 - Download and save the blank application below
2 - Fill out the appropriate information
3 - Save the form
4 - Email the completed form to auditions@atlantaopera.org with "Supernumerary Application" in the subject line. Please attach a head shot or photo of yourself.

Once received, we will add your name to our files, and we will contact you if your description fits our casting needs for a production.

Super needs for the 2016-17 Season:

Don Pasquale
Production period: March 6 – April 2
  • House Boy Stage age 18-30. Must be able to move fast and carry props quickly. Acrobatic/movement/mime experience a plus
  • House Maids (Female)
  • Max the Majordomo Very crucial role. Appears all through the show and participates in several mime sequences. Some Physical Acting/Mime experience necessary. Must be strong enough to lift another actor

Turandot
Production period:
April 7 – May 7
  • Exact needs TBD
