The Atlanta Opera Chorus seeks youth singers for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Casting – Turandot

  • Auditions are for girls and boys who have clear/unchanged voices.
  • Children should be between 9-13 years old and under 5”0” tall.
  • Must be local/regional resident due to the rehearsal schedule requirements.
  • Schedule for Turandot (subject to change)

Audition Preparation:
Prepare 1 (one) complete piece from the following genres: art song or classical music theater (Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Lowe, musical theatre before 1990, etc.)

For Audition:
Pianist will be provided, or you may bring your own. Bring sheet music printed out IN THE CORRECT KEY (No IPADS).
Auditioning singers may also be asked to sing scales or tonal memory exercises.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Advancement Philanthropy (DAP) will partner with the Director of Advancement Revenue as part of our unified patron-engagement model to lead the philanthropic strategy and execution, ensuring a seamless and holistic experience across marketing, ticketing, and philanthropy. The role will require close collaboration with the General & Artistic Director, the Board of Directors, Advisory Council, and senior leadership, guiding a talented development team to deepen major donor relationships and drive contributed revenue to support ambitious artistic and organizational goals.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties in addition to other duties as assigned

  • Lead strategy and implementation of annual giving, major gifts, campaigns, and legacy programs
  • Partner with the Director of Advancement Revenue, the General & Artistic Director, and Board leadership on long term Advancement strategy and planning
  • Manage and mentor the fundraising team to achieve excellence across all fundraising activities
  • Use data-driven insights to forecast revenue, identify opportunities, and strengthen donor engagement
  • Build, steward, and solicit a portfolio of major donors
  • Oversee all institutional philanthropic relationships, grants, and deliverables
  • Oversee Advancement Operations to ensure compliance, record keeping, reporting accuracy, data analysis, and strong operational infrastructure for all Advancement efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of progressive fundraising leadership, including managing comprehensive development programs
  • 8+ years of supervisory experience with a track record of building strong teams
  • Strategic thinker with strong budgeting, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Experience leading major campaigns or complex fundraising initiatives
  • Facility with CRM systems (Tessitura preferred) and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree required; knowledge of opera or performing arts is a plus

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving audience growth and revenue for The Atlanta Opera. As part of the newly formed Advancement Team—which integrates Marketing, Development, Box Office, and Revenue Operations—this role leads paid media strategy, pricing innovation, and customer engagement efforts. This individual combines creative vision with analytical rigor to optimize ticket sales, streaming subscriptions, and audience retention.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties in addition to other duties as assigned.

  • Paid Media Strategy & Management: Lead paid campaigns across search, social, email, and SMS; manage external vendors to ensure performance and brand alignment.
  • Pricing & Revenue Optimization: Develop dynamic ticket pricing models in collaboration with Advancement Leadership and Box Office, including tiering and subscription experiments.
  • Audience Research & Persona Development: Create and maintain customer personas to guide targeting and messaging; document insights in a marketing playbook.
  • Content & Calendar Planning: Build integrated content calendars across paid, owned, and earned media aligned with performance schedules.
  • Email & SMS Marketing Oversight: Ensure campaigns are segmented, compliant, and conversion-optimized through vendor partnerships.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor KPIs (ROI, CPA, CTR, conversion rates); present monthly performance summaries to Advancement and quarterly reports to Executive Team.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Align messaging and timing across Box Office, PR/Comms, Development, and Production.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee creative and technical partners to ensure timely delivery of assets and reports.
  • Campaign Optimization: Adjust strategies based on ticketing trends, demand forecasting, and seat-tier performance.

  • Proficiency in marketing analytics and campaign reporting
  • Skilled in pricing strategy and audience development
  • Excellent communication and project management skills

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Social Media Management: Develop and manage organic content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube), monitor engagement, and maintain a responsive brand presence.
  • Brand Storytelling: Create compelling content that reflects productions, programs, and initiatives in alignment with our brand voice.
  • Media Relations: Draft press releases, coordinate interviews, maintain press lists, and track coverage.
  • Content Planning: Align editorial calendars with performances, campaigns, and events; manage artist content for web and social use.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor engagement and media metrics to inform strategy and optimize future campaigns.
  • Email Marketing Support: Collaborate with Advancement to ensure consistent tone, branding, and clear calls to action.

Join The Atlanta Opera as a Gift Officer!
Are you passionate about the arts and building meaningful donor relationships? The Atlanta Opera is seeking a Gift Officer to support our mission through the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Annual Fund donors, with a focus on mid-level gifts ($2,500–$9,999).

In this role, you will:

  • Develop strategies for mid-level and broad-based giving
  • Manage donor events and engagement activities
  • Strengthen donor loyalty and retention

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties in addition to other duties as assigned.

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 140 mid-level donors, coordinating with the Associate Director of Development to renew and increase gifts up to $10,000.
  • Engage with broad-based donors and community prospects to identify and close new mid-level gifts.
  • Write and coordinate direct mail, email, and social media appeals, developing messaging and timelines in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Oversee the Patrons Circle Event Series (mid-level events), including invitation copy, logistics, and annual calendar planning.
  • Represent The Atlanta Opera at performances, community events, luncheons, and meet & greets to steward and cultivate donors.
  • Assist in writing one to two planned giving stories annually in partnership with the Associate Director of Development.
  • Support subscription renewal projects in collaboration with marketing and patron services teams.
  • Partner with Advisory Council members to plan and execute off-site donor engagement opportunities, such as happy hours and hosted gatherings.
  • Communicate Patrons Circle benefits to donors, including event invitations, parking details, and exclusive experiences.
  • Contribute to donor retention and broad-based giving strategies through quarterly communications and engagement initiatives.
  • Document call reports and solicitation progress through the timely submission of activity within the Tessitura database.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–3 years of experience in fundraising, patron services, or related nonprofit or customer-facing work.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience managing events or membership programs preferred.
  • Creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach with a strong interest in non-profit development practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience using donor or CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and best practices for safe and responsible application in workflow.
  • Strong attention to detail.
