World-renowned mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe will showcase her powerful, malleable voice in a celebration of song, including standards and Tin Pan Alley classics by Irving Berlin, Ross & Hart, Noel Coward, and more. Featuring special guests from The Atlanta Opera Studio.

Stephanie Blythe

Renowned opera singer and recitalist, mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe is considered one of the most highly respected and critically acclaimed artists of her generation.  Her repertoire ranges from Handel to Wagner, German lieder to contemporary and classic American song.  Ms. Blythe has performed on many of the world’s great stages, such as Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Paris National Opera and San Francisco, Chicago Lyric and Seattle Operas.  Ms. Blythe was named Musical America’s Vocalist of the Year in 2009, received an Opera News Award in 2007 and won the Tucker Award in 1999.  Ms. Blythe recently released her first crossover recording on the Innova label with pianist Craig Terry.

Craig Terry, pianist

Lauded for his “sensitive and stylish” (New York Times) and “superb” (Opera News) playing, pianist Craig Terry has launched an international career regularly performing with some of the world’s leading singers and instrumentalists. Currently Mr. Terry is Music Director of The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center and is in his eleventh season as Assistant Conductor at Lyric Opera of Chicago. Previously he served as Assistant Conductor at the Metropolitan Opera after joining its Lindemann Young Artist Development Program.

Jonathan Bryan
Baritone

Jonathan Bryan, a baritone from Dallas, Texas, is excited to join Atlanta Opera as a resident artist. He holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Louisiana State University, and a master of music degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

Anna Koźlakiewicz
Soprano

Anna Koźlakiewicz is a young polish soprano who started her music adventure at age 6. She received her master of music degree in vocal performance from the The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. She has performed with the National Opera in Warsaw, Poland.

Elizabeth Sarian
Mezzo-soprano

Following her apprenticeship with the Santa Fe Opera, mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Sarian is thrilled to join The Atlanta Opera Studio. As an Artist-in-Residence, her upcoming roles will be Flora in La traviata, Olga (cover) in Eugene Onegin.

Justin Stolz
Tenor

Tenor Justin Stolz is a Resident Artist at The Atlanta Opera, he made a “rousing” (Opera News) professional debut last season as Der Steuermann in the company’s production of The Flying Dutchman. He spent the summer of 2018 as an Apprentice Artist with Santa Fe Opera.

Directions

City Springs is located on the west side of Roswell Road between Johnson Ferry Road (north) and Mount Vernon Highway (south).

From I-285 eastbound – Take Exit 25 (Roswell Road) and turn left.
From I-285 westbound – Take Exit 25 (Roswell Road) and turn right.

Travel on Roswell Road for just under one mile and City Springs will be on your left. To access the parking garage, turn left on Mount Vernon Highway and take the first right on Galambos Way. The parking garage entrance will be on your right.

Parking

Ample parking is available with approximately 1,125 parking spaces on site, with 750 of those in an underground parking garage.

From Roswell Road, turn west onto Mount Vernon Highway and take an immediate right on to Galambos Way. The east parking garage entrance/exit will be on your right. There is an alternative entrance/exit on the west side of the garage located under the southern Aston apartment building on Galambos Way.

Parking Rates:

Parking in the garage is free for the first 2 hours.

Parking in any of the surface street spaces are metered at a rate of $1/30 min, $2/1 hour, $4/90 mins.

For special events, garage parking is $5 and valet parking is $15 unless otherwise noted.

Public Transportation

From MARTA Sandy Springs station – Bus route 87 stops at City Springs.
From MARTA Dunwoody station – Bus routes 5 and 87 stop at City Springs.
