The Atlanta Opera Ring Festival 2029 represents the culmination of one of the most ambitious undertakings in The Atlanta Opera’s history. Beginning in 2023, the company embarked on a multi-season journey to bring Wagner’s complete Ring cycle to the American Southeast — a region that had never before witnessed the complete tetralogy performed by a resident opera company and the first new U.S. Ring produced since the pandemic. Over four consecutive seasons, director Tomer Zvulun guided the creation of a unified, visually striking production that weaves together the mythological worlds of gods, heroes, and humans across some seventeen hours of music.
