Dr. Hal Brody & Don Smith

L’amour will honor Dr. Harold “Hal” Brody and Don Smith, whose generosity and commitment to the arts have made a meaningful impact on Atlanta’s cultural community. For years, they have been enthusiastic supporters of The Atlanta Opera, as well as organizations including the Fox Theatre, Atlanta Ballet, Theatrical Outfit and Out Front Theatre Company.

An accomplished dermatologist and longtime educator, Dr. Brody is an adjunct professor of dermatology at Emory University School of Medicine and has built an international reputation for his expertise in dermatology. He has also served as president of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and remains active in the profession today.

Together, Hal and Don have been especially generous champions of LGBTQ+ arts and cultural organizations, supporting work that celebrates diverse voices, stories and experiences. Their longstanding support of The Atlanta Opera reflects a shared appreciation for the transformative power of music, theater and the arts—and their belief in the importance of making Atlanta a vibrant and welcoming place for all.
